What is Ratafia? Originating in Champagne, Ratafia is fortified grape-based spirit. Ours is made with 80 proof spirits made with Hinterland bubbly, which was added to freshly pressed estate Pinot Noir juice to preserve its delicious freshness & flavour.
How to enjoy Ratafia? Chilled, as an aperitif, with dessert or in a cocktail. Use a liqueur glass, a tumbler on the rocks, or add equal parts Whitecap for the easiest crowd winning sparkling cocktail.
What does it taste like? Like a smooth Tawny Port, with hints of wood (from barrel aging) and honey. It's truly delicious and will warm you up on a cold day.
Pairing suggestions? On it's own as an aperitif or digestif, with soft or blue cheeses, with pate or fois gras, or with fruit or nut based desserts.
