Now a little bit about Tufford Road Geology:
Really interesting vineyard. Three different soil types starting with red clay at the top, brown clay at the middle and small pieces of granite at the bottom. This Chardonnay comes from the middle brown clay. Spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels.
The Ramirez Vineyard is made up of Hillier-Clay Loam. Limestone littered throughout lending minerality to the wine. Soil of the Gods.
