PINOT NOIR 2019 VINTAGE
High acid red wine.
Grippy, lots of mouth feel, long, fruit forward.
Wild ferment and minimum punch downs. Very little interaction. Aged in puncheons.
The grapes came from an area of our Pinot Noir where we changed the pruning and ended up with a very light crop. We decided to work with the low yields and picked a tiny amount for vinification into red wine. The grapes were picked before the September rain,
preserving the quality of the fruit and maintaining acidity. This is our homage to Coteaux Champenois. After travelling to Champagne and after tasting several Coteaux Champenois, we realized we could do the same with fruit from our vineyard in appropriate years.
Only 45 cases produced.
