There are few places where Syrah grows well in Ontario, and we believe the Wismer-Parke vineyard is one of them. The 2017 Syrah is quite elegant and exhibits classic Syrah flavour of smoked meat & white pepper.
Fine balance with good mouthfeel and drying tannins which suggest ageability. Now available for pick up at the winery or farmers' markets (see our market page for details). We begin shipping the Syrah on Tuesday October 9th.
This wine was fermented wild using natural yeasts and aged in a 600L French Oak barrel.
Four clusters per vine, extremely low yields.
Approximately 200 cases produced.
