If you like Champagne, you’ll love our estate-grown Traditional Method sparkling wine!Â
The Traditional Method is the process of inducing a second fermentation inside an already bottled wine by adding more yeast and sugar. It was first documented in England by Christopher Merret in 1662 as a form of improving French wine that had spoiled in its water-bound journey from France to England. In 1668, Dom Perignon, a Benedictine monk living in Champagne, France, popularized the art of Traditional Method wines, later known as “Méthode Champenoise.” The Hinterland estate produces grapes that are perfectly balanced in acidity with low sugars, ideal for Traditional Method wines.
Blanc de Noirs is a zero-skin contact Traditional Method sparkling wine made with 100% estate Pinot Noir grapes. Enjoy now or age in your cellar for 5+ years!
Blanc de Noirs offers aromas of ocean breeze and tropical fruits, with a palate that brings refreshing saline minerality and ripe pineapple. Blanc de Noirs is lovely on its own, but serve it with oysters, crispy pork belly, duck confit, or comté for the perfect pairing!
